The City is currently seeking qualified individuals for the following positions:
PART-TIME TAX ASSESSOR- CITY OF BEVERLY, BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ
The City of Beverly is seeking an individual possessing a New Jersey Certified Tax Assessor certification with at least two years of Tax Assessment experience to serve as a part-time Tax Assessor. The City consists of approximately 1,030 line-items comprised mostly of residential properties. Candidates must be well versed in all aspects of local municipal assessing practices and real estate appraisal, and have experience with the Microsystems Mod-IV tax system.
Successful candidates are expected to fulfill all the duties of a Certified Tax Assessor in the State of New Jersey including but not limited to periodic valuations, familiarity with PILOT programs, mailing Assessment Cards, maintenance of Tax Maps, 200 foot list requests, tax deductions, certifying assessments to the County including all added/omitteds, partial assessments, and tax appeals, and along with the City Solicitor, represent the City of Beverly in all matters before the Tax Court.
The Assessor shall be available to meet with City residents on reasonable notice seeking appointments during normal City work hours or in the evening. The Assessor shall maintain adequate office hours as agreed to by the City.
