Severe Weather Emergency Preparedness
Are you Ready? – As we approach the anniversaries of Sandy, Katrina and now the Carolinas dealing with Hurricane Florence we have to ask an important question… Are you Ready?
September is Emergency Preparedness Month, so we are getting the word out about several resources to help you prepare in case of an emergency. Ready.gov is a website devoted to helping residents prepare for weather related emergencies. Please go to http://www.ready.gov for more information.
Are you Registered? – Register Ready is the New Jersey’s Special Needs Registry for Disasters and allows residents with disabilities, or access/functional needs, their families, friends, and caregivers an opportunity to provide information to emergency response agencies so emergency responders can better plan to serve them in a disaster or other emergency. Please go to Register Ready for more information.
Residents can also register with Swift911 to get up to date emergency alerts by text, phone call and email. Please go to Swift911 to register.
