NEW JERSEY SPECIAL NEEDS REGISTRY
Who would need the most help in time of crisis?
What “Special Needs” do you have?
How will we notify everyone in case of an emergency or impending disaster?
Beverly has experienced severe weather events, fires and other emergency situations and has been lucky enough to come through it. However, luck is only a small word that can run out at any given time.
We all need to be better prepared to react efficiently should a crisis situation occur.
Our Police, Fire, Emergency Medical and Emergency Management teams stand ready to help but need your assistance to prepare for the inevitable.
Perhaps you don’t think of yourself as having a handicap but even a simple medical issue can become an issue in a crisis. Maybe you are a senior citizen that would need transportation or anyone who would need daily medications if evacuation becomes necessary. We would also like information about your family pets. Remember that they will need assistance too.
We encourage everyone who might have difficulty in a crisis to visit the NJ Register Ready website at https://www13.state.nj.us/SpecialNeeds to answer a few simple questions that will allow us to help you should a major event happen. This is statewide initiative and your information is completely confidential.
It’s easy to do! You can get it done in minutes! A family member, friend or neighbor can help! Perhaps you can get them registered also!
Should anyone need assistance with this process, please notify the Beverly City (387-1881) administrative offices and someone from the emergency community will assist you.
